This is going to be my first time building a whole pc, im trying to build a pc that will run games like call of duty 4, ghost recon advance warfare 2, and vegas 2 with a good framerate on medium-high settings (50+fps atleast).

i need some advice on my mobo, harddrive and video card. IS there better out there for the same price range? my budget is about 760 USD.

You could get an 8800GS for about 110 on newegg, after rebate.

First off - your motherboard can't support that DDR3 memory. Get this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6813128059

This video card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814130319

2 sets of This RAM:

This PSU:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6817153052

And this CPU:

And your HDD and Optical Drive are decent.

I agree with the post above, even that it goes a tad over budget.

Also, only get the two sets of RAM if you have Vista. If not, just get 1 set of 2 gigs.

That CPU may not be available for quite a while though.

It has an ETA of 4/11/08... doesn't say in stock for me.  Either way, I guess 6 days isn't a very long time.  I wouldn't be surprised if they sold out very quickly though.

One guy said they were sold out in about 15 minutes. Try another retailer.

Either works, but the Patriot RAM is what I have and it's 1) super cheap 2) excellent.

$30's a good price for 2GB, but I'd prefer the cooling profile of only two DIMM's as opposed to four. Plus the corsairs run on lower voltage. But you're right; either/or.
