I've had an idea on how to make the support class more fun. They should have to deploy their weapons before they can fire them properly. Either on the floor or on top of a low wall. That way they're really powerful if they're set up properly and you happen to walk into their killing zone, but they've got the weakness of being caught unaware (when their gun isn't deployed it'd be very inaccurate and crap) or being outflanked when setup.
If such a big change is too much for a patch, then perhaps giving them a "setup time" after they go prone would be more easily done. Instead of them being accurate the moment they go prone, they'd have to wait 5 seconds or so before their gun shoots straight. It'd have the same effect..... you'd be toast if you walk into their killing zone, but they'd be an easy target if you caught them on the move.
