Hence why I am going back tbh. It is just on the other side of the field, so not much of a move.lowing wrote:

What do you do?
Yep....KCMH. Currently an Operations / Dispatch supervisor. Most likely will go back to NetJets as a Return to Service coordinator since I have my A&P also.lowing wrote:

Glad to see someone agrees on re-regulation. I was feeling lonely.
I was in RTS, I bet we know alot of the same people, and a lot of the same celebrity storiesusmarine wrote:

I gotta tell ya, Iwas never very big on celebrities, but after NetJets, hearing the stories of their pettiness, and snobery, only to see them on TV being interviewed acting as if they are "one of us" I could only shake my head in disgustusmarine wrote:

Ya, I could not be a pilot or owner services in that company.lowing wrote:

Didn't seem to work that way for Olympic Airlines eh?lowing wrote:
Cam all the legalese in the world will not take away from the fact that most of Europes big countries have NATIONAL carriers of which govts. have a stake in. they are the "flag carrier" of Greece.CameronPoe wrote:

Think state ownership is a good thing in many businesses, seems like airlines is such a business ...

Guess so ... without indebt knowledge to the business and how it works in the states, i do know that the regulated market in Europe works pretty good ...usmarine wrote:

But that is also loosened up lately, now airlines can operate with to and fro destinations outside their own countries ...

Well as of 2am, I am out of a job. Yay!!!
---------------------------------
Skybus Employees:
It is with great sadness that I must relate that we are ceasing operations immediately and will file for bankruptcy on Monday morning. Record jet fuel prices and a sluggish economy were a perfect storm we simply could not outlast. I recognize this is a surprise to most of you. We battled hard until the end, not giving up our attempt to raise more capital until late this afternoon. However, the capital markets are unsettled right now and airlines are unfortunately quite out of favor, making the challenge of raising additional cash too great.
On behalf of our Board, our investors, and our management team, thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to making Skybus a great airline. This has been a wonderful journey although it came to an end far too quickly.
Please see the official press release which will go out shortly. You should receive a follow on communication from the People department with more information.
Sincerely,
Mike Hodge
Chief Executive Officer
