I am currently running on 17" crt and have been thinking about upgrading for a while now, but which should I go for, bearing in mind I'm on a tight budget.
Was looking one of a couple of options at the mo
Belinea 19": http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … subcat=276
LG 20": http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … subcat=948

A friend of mine has the Belinea and has given it a favorable recommendation to me and for the price it seems good value, as does the LG (which is right up at the top end of what I was looking to spend). I'm only really considering the LG because of the larger screen size and don't really wanna spend a similar amount on a 19", so really these are my 2 options.
Finally my 8800gts 320mb should be ok with these resolutions for gaming shouldn't it?

Edit: Links

I've never had any propblems with them. I've got a 17" CRT here which, with the exception of some water damage, works flawlessly to this day. Same goes for tons of other pheripherals (CD burners in particular). A mate also got a 19" LCD lately, and hasn't had any complaints.

Oh, and coke, your links aren't working. Right click -> Copy link instead of marking and pasting.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Links should be working now.
Anyone else got any input? Like I said my graphics card should be alright for these resolutions...

Go for a 20inch rather than 19. Its screen ration is different. The 20" has a bit wider panel, its not so "squary".

Might be going to get it tomorrow and the only Samsung in my price range is only 19" (could get the LG 20" for similar price) and is out of stock, as is the Belinea...
So might go for the LG...

Go for a Digital instead of an Analog interface.

I got this one about a month ago for £100:

I love it, plus it says 5000:1 contrast ratio on the screen, not 3000:1.
