He was in jail for possession of child pron with intent to sell.

It's worse, the guards pointed him out to other inmates. They wanted him beaten. The ' shot caller ' in jail as per custom informed the Mexicans in the jail unit that there was to be a beating. They do that so race riots don't break out.

The 6 whites beat him up.

Then about 50 Mexicans ran into the area of the jail. They stripped Chamberlain, sodomized him with a tooth paste tube, urinated on him and then stomped him to death as he begged and screamed for help. The killing took about 20-30 minutes.

The six white inmates who beat him up are all charged with murder, but none of the mexicans and none of the guards are.

Is this the kind of jail we want to tolerate in America?
Guilty until proven innocent, a trial, etc? We will never know what, if anything he was guilty of, only that he was accused. Rumors are he had a thing for little girl porn. Rumors.

I know you'll say that child molesters deserve what he got, and I agree. The issue is, should the cops in that jail be also judge and jury?
Is not pointing out to other inmates that the guys is accused of something make the cops as guilty as the mob that killed him?

btw, as they beat and sodomized they made him confess his crimes. In the end, I'm sure he told them whatever they wanted to hear.

The prison system needs to be protective. I often go on in threads talking about how murderers, rapists etc should just be dragged out back and shot... but come on. My perspective on that is if the person's 100% guilty and they've confessed, why bother with the lengthy appeals? But I digress.

Separate each prisoner. I don't care if a prison has to be bigger, just put it in the middle of nowhere. Make them all be cuffed at all times, with absolutely no chance of getting out and attacking an inmate or a guard. Might be a bit like a Supermax prison, but I'd rather be isolated and bored out of my fucking mind than dead at the hands of inmates.

Petrovich estimates that the Latino inmates attacked Chamberlain for 15 to 20 minutes. “It was a whole herd of people,” he says. “The Mexicans went in there, and who knows what they did? People were coming and going. They were getting him to confess. Someone was yelling at him what he was, and finally, he admitted he was a child molester. That’s what I heard later. I heard they stuck a tube of toothpaste up his ass.”

I don't understand why prisons should be significantly costly to run, and it can't be too hard to organise so inmates never need to come into physical contact with guards or each other.
Let the least anti-social ones do the cooking and washing and beyond opening and closing doors by remote control there's not much left to do.

It's BS, but for him to be in a general population he must have been found guilty of something? Correct?

Other wise he would have been in a holding cell awating trial, in my interpertaintion of this is that there was something alot worse attached to him. As far as I know about the "street Justice" is that just haveing the porn wouldn't cause a in house murder. I'm feeling that there was an other charge that's being down played here.

it was a county jail. You wait for your court date or prison date. regardless, they always ask a person as they are being inprocessed if they feel as if their life was in danger and if they would like to go under protective custody. what happened to this guy is the exact reason why they ask you this in the first place.

His charge was possession of child pornography with intent to sell.
Not butt rape of a baby.

The county jails are a purgatory filled with illegal alien gang bangers and sometimes equally evil cops. It is a racially divide shit hole, not a place you ever want to be.

Not that I have personal experience. I do know and have employed people that have done time.

My god, that is disgusting. Even if he was guilty, he does not deserve this. What the hell? You put a guy in possession of child pornography besides a rapist or murderer: I ask you, why the fuck do so many people think anything involved with children is SO much worse than rape or murder? How are the others any less bad?

Everyone involved in this should be criminally charged... this is truly disturbing...

Agreed. Child pornography is disgusting, however in no way does it deserve this. Child molestation is even worse but still doesn't deserve that. People go crazy as soon as a child is involved.

Even if this guy had been a serial child rapist, this wasn't the right thing.

He wasn't just a pedo, he had "intent to sell", profiting off a child's hell and misery.

He got what he deserved, as for the "karma" of it all. But, as our system as rules, laws, set standards, this should have never happened. It's unfortunate that the system there is like this, but it's also hard to feel bad for any inmates.
