Nice, reminds me of the film outlaw. The scum needs to be cleaned up from the streets and for that to happen it needs to be done quickly.

And that's where this becomes stupid. Not only does it happen every day that people are arrested on false charges, but this was a killing orchestrated by prison guards. If you were in that place, and the guards had something against you, who's to say they wouldn't just tell people that you were a kiddy rapist?usmarine wrote:

That's why this isn't "good". Good is justice done right.
well maybe this is a good way to get people to think twice about having child porn eh?
Do you consider 15/16/17 olds children? Or rather the law there.usmarine wrote:

And like I said, cleaning the streets. One Scum at a time.
Whatever the law is I guess. However, if I had to make the law, it wouldn't be "child porn" past 15 yrs old.jord wrote:

I didn't say it would be legal, but I would not call it child porn.ATG wrote:

Oh yeah, if you have child pornography, you'll get brutally beaten to death in prison at the hands of the system. While we're at it, let's introduce stoning and caning as well. Let's brutally torture anyone suspected of crimes that usmarine finds especially distasteful. May his finely tuned morals guide us to a cleaner race.usmarine wrote:

he wasnt killed by the hands of the system. he was killed by other criminals. he could have avoided his beating by asking for protective custody. he wanted to be in general pop. thats what happens when rapists and child molester get in general pop. he was afforded an opportunity to be sequestered, he didnt take it. hes dead because of that decision as well as his decision to break the law.mikkel wrote:

That seems to me like death at the hands of the system. It's worse, the guards pointed him out to other inmates. They wanted him beaten. The ' shot caller ' in jail as per custom informed the Mexicans in the jail unit that there was to be a beating. They do that so race riots don't break out.
protective custody is something that is asked for . they pointed him out as a pedophile so white inmates seeing hispanic inmates beating on another white inmate wont start a riot. this is jail, not daycare. these people are in their for the very fact that they cannot function in normal society.
when you get arrested, anywhere, they ask if you should be put in protective custody.

Informing other people of the crime that an inmate has been charged with in the first place is asking other inmates to hurt this person. There's no way around that. It's not daycare, but neither is it a killing field.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

According to the article, the hispanics were informed that there would be a beating, no the other way around.

no one is disputing this fact. ok. got it.
do you not understand what Im saying when I talk about protective custody, I dont think you are quite getting me.
if he was put in protective custody, it would have been impossible for this to happen to him, no matter how many guards told how many inmates about him. when you are getting booked.....damn it just read my last 4 posts.

Protective custody
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Protective custody is a type of imprisonment (or care) to protect a prisoner (or other person) from harm, either from outside sources or other prisoners.
[edit] Prison usage
In a prison context, protective custody is used mainly in the following cases:
* Those who are at high risk of being harmed or killed by other prisoners either for their crime or their group (ethnic or otherwise), such as pedophiles, child murderers, gang members in a prison mostly containing rival gang members, or prisoners who are gay or transgender.[1]
* Those criminals who are themselves witnesses to a crime, and might be harmed by other prisoners to either prevent them from speaking out, or for revenge.
Protective custody might simply involve putting the person in a secure prison (if the threat is from the outside), but usually protective custody involves some degree of solitary confinement. In the case of a person being threatened due to his association with a certain group, moving that person to another section of the prison may be sufficient.

You aren't getting it, GunSlinger.
Him opting out of protective custody is no excuse for guard to go around saying things that a guard knows will get the person killed. Part of a guard's duty is also keeping prisoners in their custody safe from assaults.

I get it, I just dont agree. PC is a right every prisoner has. It just brings a stigma amongst the criminal class. For example, in a street gang, if you get arrested and are put under protective custody, you are targeted by your own fellow gang members because PC implies that you werent "man" enough to live in general pop out of fear for your safety.mikkel wrote:

he could of, and should have chosen to be PC'ed up. He didnt, he died. Now, if the deputies didnt give him an opportunity to be under PC, thats another story. But, from what I gathered, thats not the case.
in a perfect world. but, youre dealing with inmates. Jail guards are really there to babysit and feed, thats about it. I know plenty of county jail deputies in LA (Im in the army with them) as well as being arrested on one or two occasions in the past.mikkel wrote:

if you dont look at kiddie porn, then you wont get arrested. then you wont get put in jail. then you might not get beat to death. simple concept really.
What a nice way to totally avoid the topic at hand with an extreme dose of cynicism and disdain for justice. The day you start thinking two steps ahead of your knee-jerk reaction is the day that people may be able to have a sensible discussion with you.usmarine wrote:

No, that's in the real world. If all a prison had to do was provide a meal, then they could automate the whole thing. A big part of it is protection, which is obviously why guards intervene at assaults. Trying to argue against that is just stupid.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
