punk buster said i have inadequate os privileges, but i dont have any anti spyware programs running in the background.

Also, yes i have an admin account, in fact this is my only account and i just installed bf2 also i checked

I think i deleted a file when i has ewido running when bf2 started, i have removed that file from the quarantine list and reinstalled bf2 since then but it still would not work.

it would be great if i could get some help

some spyware/adware programs modify your os priveledges when they install themselves. you might try running a spyware and virus sweep and see if it comes up with anything.

I had similar issues installing itunes on my system, seems that my admin account for windows didn't have all the privileges by default it should have had.  I had to go into the registry and manual allow myself to install the software (I know, it makes no sense).  You could try going into regedit, click on HKEY_Local_machine, Software, Electronic aRts, right-click EA games, select permissions, click advanced, click add, and click on the Admin or User account.  It should open a list of permissions, just click FULL permissions, and see if that does it.  Be careful in there!!
