You have to go into the BIOS and fuck with the settings, only CPU I have overclocked is the Core 2 Duo, which has a locked multiplier and only changable FSB, so it's different from the P4.Bradt3hleader wrote:

I've overclocked the CPU as far as I can before mobo refuses to boot up and the cores go to 40°C maximum under full load, 50°C with my case fans set on lowest.Mitch92uK wrote:

Killing a Prescott is virtually impossible. I jacked the voltage up to 2v by mistake one late night when I was playing around, shut it down and went to sleep. In the morning, I turned it on and left for school. It remained on for six hours, feeding 2v into the CPU, without booting (Was really, really hot when I got back), I shut it off, reset the CMOS and booted. Still works like a charm.
