I have a network of three computers

I need to assign all three of them a static IP address

My question is if I assign them all static IP addresses
will I need to disable DHCP within the router ?

yes, or u can use dhcp to give them static ip.  its called dhcp reservation.  the choice is yours.

All you have to do is assign the static addresses outside of your DHCP scope. The start-end range should be under DHCP configuration in your gateway.

I looked in my DHCP scope and saw that the addresses I had reserved
were within my DHCP scope so I changed the scope to disallow them.

thank you guys

Why do you have to reset your router at the start of each day?

I am guessing I have to do that because the router is not sure what ip to give to what system

if i do not unplug the router then 2 of my computers do not have internet access

I bet this fixes it though

thanks again guys for the help

Yep, that would do it.
