My mom's asleep. I wanna listen to loud music. My headphones aren't loud enough. Solution?

Connected to my amp, pressed against my ears. It worked wonderfully, but now my ears are ringing twice as loud as before.

...fuck. Let's just hope it'll pass during the night

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

It's slightly messy, as I'm gonna rearrange a lot of stuff when I get the projector. There's no need to put all these things in place, as I'll just have to take them down again when I get it. The computer in the middle is my old bed rig, been doing some data restoration on it. It's gonna go in the chassis locker tomorrow, when it's vacuum day.

EDIT: The cables crossing the floor is from my amp to my lappy/headphones, as well as laptop power supply and power for the monitor on the old bed computer. Nothing "permanent". I'd tuck the lappy's power supply away, but I move it around a lot. Also note that it looks ten times worse than it is. I could clean and sort this in twenty minutes. Monstly just paper and old cards.

It's not the amp, it's the headphones, and they're among the most powerful in the consumer-level. And I'm not putting 100+€ on a couple of headphones.
