High Gas Prices in Iceland, Truckers Protest

Truckers in Iceland are protesting about the high gas prices and its been going on for about two weeks, almost every morning they stop traffic from 7:40AM to 8:40AM, and then they drive at 40km at roads where top speed it 80km and horn all day long. The gas price is 156 ISK a liter or 8.1$ a Gallon.

Here's a vid of when they stop blocking the road after one hour and start driving extremely slow and using the horn all the time:

I find that hillarious because the US price right now is what the Icelandic price was some 10 years ago.

Funny thing is, they're probably using more petrol by protesting like that. Damn it must suck for them though. Hope your prices come down soon.

In Australia prices are ~$AU 1.45 / litre
Thats about USD 5.15 / gallon

*Perth WA prices for premium (95 octane) anyway, 91 octane is about 5 cents cheaper.
