Meh. Right now, ATi look like the winners this year. If they can pull off another excellent release, then they will be flying.
I wouldn't say that ATi were that impressive this year. Their only competative card had 2 GPU's. Which doesn't really count IMO. Same goes for NVidia though.

Heh, true. I figured you mean this round of releases. But yes, I hope ATi do something good. I'm already fearing that the 9900's will be unimpressive like the 9800's.
HD4xxx looks like sex. There is no doubt.

ATI is having what the nVidia had with the G80 now. nVidia is pushing too much out of the G92, they need something new.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
From what I've heard from various sources, the 9900 GX2 is going to blow the 9800 GX2 out of the water.

Perhaps this'll be like what the "8900" series was. A complete lie, and people made up specs.
Fuck.
