After my last retarded CPU cooler purchase, I decided to see what BF2s has to say before I order the next one.

So, is the CNPS9500 good? Or should I save up for the 9700?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I'd buy something from Scythe or Coolermaster, Zalmann is overrated.

I think  the 9500 would be your best bet, if not the 9700.

I'd measure the space you need to fit that huge thing, Even I would have problems and I have a beast of a case(CM Stacker 831). I reccomend a CM HyperTX2
Tuniq Tower 120
Scythe Mugen
Any cooler from Thermalright as long as it fits

Well, I can fit almost three CDs from the back of the case to the HDD cage, so that wouldn't be a problem. Only thing I'm worried about is my RAM; it's rather tall.

EDIT:

Tight, but it seems to fit.

I have it.  My X2 4200+ runs 28 idle @ 3.00 GHz.

Idle temps mean nothing. Well, almost nothing.

@OP; I'd get something like a Tuniq Tower. Zalman are overrated and overpriced.

The store doesn't have those... And I can only buy from one store without paying 50% tax.

What does the store have? And anyway, any good store should order whatever you want in for you.

Well, check www.multitronic.fi.

And I ordered a Gemin 2 and two 120mm fans. Can't go wrong with such a beast, can it?

i wouldn't necessarily call zalman coolers overrated but they are a little over priced. my 9500 keeps my oc'd quad at decent temps.

tomshardware.com just did a great test on cpu coolers. generally most of them suck, so give that article a look and see if it helps with your decision. I believe this is the article...

I have a 9700 (since I spend coin foolishly), but i hear its not a radical difference between that and the 9500. I did not get a tuniq tower since it seemed to bit to big. There was another I would have gotten since it was the best at the time, but newegg was out of stock, can;t recall what is was.
