Whatever skill was ever needed to place claymores and get kills, is obviously no longer needed.  Since they wont blow up teammates, people are putting them EVERY WHERE YOU CAN IMAGINE.  Down the main travelled pathways at Strike at Karkand, at flags, because they no longer have to worry about teamkills.  In 1 round Ive been killed more with claymores then I have in my entire 400 hours.  Just my rant.

Uhm, there are about 2.234 topics about this. Claymore and AT-Mines can be set to friendly fire off. But this is a server side solution.

Open your eyes, if you see a little green box with legs run away from it.

if you hate it so much... I suggest you try it out.  I'm sure you'll end up doing the same thing.  I'm not saying I've resorted to it either, but you might find it to your liking.  While your at it- try the upgraded PKM

Kind of stupid seeing as there's no real way to find out if that claymore is friendly or not other than to stand infront of it and see if it rips your nuts off...

Or is there?

when a clamore is placed on an enemy flag there is no way it can be removed , even if you nade it , you just have to wait for a team mate to blow him self up on it , this will no douht be addressed in the mini patch

The only way to get rid of claymores now is to drive over them with a tank or apc,a jeep works too but explodes from 2 claymores....

It's difficult to say what to do with those claymores,in 1.12 you always got a teamkill from them,no matter where you placed them,in 1.2 you are safe against tks but people just spam the area with them...

I think it's better in 1.2 because as a sniper you can protect your spot without risking that a friendly sniper wants to cuddle with you and gets teamkilled,on the other hand you get idiotic snipers who use the claymore as primary weapon...

The destroying claymores with nades thing is total bullshit, there's no strategic value in claymores if everybody just can blow them away,I think they should be able to get picked up by snipers or disarmed by engineers...

The worst thing about the claymore is when you've got a nice little honey hole with one ladder and you claymore it so you don't have to constantly watch your ass.... I'm always on the team with the guy that will see the skull mine sign at the top of the ladder and he will still climb it anyway... get himself blown up... I get a mess. about a teamkill... and then the dumbass always will punish me for their mistake..... am I wrong in getting pissed over this scenerio or what?  Only so many times I can send a team message about "hey don't walk up to the skull and bones and you won't get your ass ripped off"... anyway LATER!!!

Even after this patch I believe you won't be able to 'nade the claymore's. That was a goal of the 1.2 patch.....so I read

No,it isn't.
The indestructable claymores make the sniper class much more valueable, and I don't mean idiots running around spamming claymores all over the place, you can place them really tactically.

And the flag thing?Hmm,tanks can destroy claymores easily by just driving over them,it's just a matter of teamwork.
And some flags I defended were taken anyway, although I placed claymores near it.
Some players just look, think a little and then move aroind the claymore(it won't go off if you are behind it,remember?).....

Just adapt and overcome, maybe look before you move once in a while,I haven't been killed more often by claymores in 1.2 as in 1.12...

Just so you all know. I believe there was an update by EA/Dice yesterday about the confirmed changes in the past. I think one of them was to only permit 2 claymores per person that can be deployed. This will sort of eliminate the spamming ... who knows.

OK you caught me, I've become a claywhore with over 650 claymore kills since the patch came out. But I'm a whore on a mission, I want my freaking Expert Badge and this is my last hope. I've tried C4 & mines but no luck. So far I've been within one damn kill three times with claymores. So until I get it or the 1.21 patch comes out its Karkand and claymores 24/7. The 1.21 patch is reducing the max number of claymores deployed by one person to two.

Ah, but not always. Sometimes there is no skull over friendlies at all, but it's still a friendly, and sometimes it puts a red skull over the enemies... wonderful game, isn't it?

I have found that you can turn off the graphics that show the flags, health, ammo and player names on screen by pressing the left ALT key while in the game.  It may also effect wheather you can see the scull or not?
