BF2S Forums Is Obama a worse public speaker than Bush?!

To be fair, if it comes down to Obama and McCain, I'm not sure who I would vote for, even after studying both of their websites extensively.

Obama has some ideas that seem to imply he doesn't believe in the sovereignty of other countries...which should make those of us who haven't been thrilled with Bush's approach to foreign policy a bit frightened.

Are you fucking kidding me? Bush is not only the worst speaker in the world he's the worst President the USA  hashad  to suffer in our history and FUTURE!!!! Bush is a complete fuck up. Always has been, always will be. It will take fucking dacades to undo what he has done to this country economically and hate-wise in reference to peoples opinion to our country world wide. Decades if not centueries.

I don't think people clinging to guns and (of all things) religion because of economic strain, is a problem.  People have plenty of reasons to keep and use firearms and practice religion, beyond economic reasons.  I think that is something we can agree on!  To assume that people have faith and own guns out of economic frustration is faulty.

He didn't say people turn to religion and guns, he said they cling to religion and guns, which is true.  The part or Oregon I live in is very similiar in it's socio-economic failure to places in the midwest that have been wrecked by dead industries.  It's not bullshit when people say, "they took my job, my house, my future, but they ain't takin my fuckin guns.  Everyting else? the lord will provide."

What I'm getting at is that Obama said exactly what he meant to say...which is a far cry from the Bushisms out there.

Certainly may help people understand why some would "misconstrue" his words to be negative.

When they obsess over guns and religion, a lot of the times, yes.  I support gun rights and the freedom of religion, but I don't obsess over it -- nor are either of them high priority issues for me.

The implication Obama makes is that these people have misplaced aggression and paranoia as a result of their economic troubles.  So, they cling to religion and guns, when they should be focused more on supporting economic policies that better themselves.
