I do take exception to his comments about the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812. Unless I am completely mistaken, it was fought before they knew the war was over. It wasn't a case like describes, with the US attacking a retreating/withdrawing enemy.

I'm assuming the position that the British were unaware as well. They were preparing to attack Alabama after the treaty was signed also. They didn't get the message until mid February.

I'm about halfway through and Google Video has decided not to load any further. A lot of what he's saying does have historical merit but anyone who has taken a cursory glance into these matters ought to know better. Just watching the show though, I get the impression of it being a flashy pizzazz show for the cameras, plus his "jokes" are terrible.
