I am currently at university (and before anyone starts flaming about students and waste of time degrees.....I'm doing medicine =] ) and am in an off campus halls, and so although I have to be about 3 times as much for broadband, I originally was able to play BF2 online............
However!, somehow my goddam halls internet provider has managed to stop me playing by "apparently" closing some ports (or something) so now whenever I get on a server my ping goes from 1- 500 in a matter of seconds and "there is a problem with your connection" pops up.
Was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem and is currently being deprived of enjoying the bountiful 1.2 patch /euroforce, because of goddam wanky university internet, and whether anyone knows how I can do anything about it =]
