I was tempted to vote 'religion of peace.'

A religion founded by a man who cut 600 heads off. They call him "Gods prophet". He has issues.
A disease. I think it is a religion that is intolerent of others and this then leads to violence.
They play tolerent until they have enough say in a community that they can get their way without too much resistance. Appeasement will get us there someday.

Religion is a disease but we're talking about just Islam. Christianity is defined as a religion that preaches peace and tolerance, yet fundamentalists want to kill everyone who isn't Christian. It's hypocritical to say Islam is a bunch of violent baby rapers or something.

Islam is a Disease of the Mind which consists of the following symptoms.
Paranoia, Hypocrisy, Violent mood swings, Lapses in Logic, Justification of wrong actions as "the will of Allah!", Hero Worship, Delusions of 72 virgins for giving up ones life in an attack on those deemed "infidels", Hyper Sensitivity to the words 'Allah, Muhammed, Akbar, Infidel, Womens Rights, and Free Speech'
If you suspect you or someone you know is a victim of Islam please call the Center for Mental Health in your neighborhood. Currently there is no cure for Islam, Other then, Logic and Reason which are nearly impossible to apply to the victim of this horrible disease. Freke's answer was concise and correct. Thus, I believe Islam needs a reformation. We will unfortunately continue to conflict with the stricter followers of Islam because of the inherent violence and intolerance that literal interpretations of Islam support.

Your right it needs some sort of reformation. Moderate islam needs to reject most of the stuff that causes stigma against them, such as subjigation of women, etc. Islam isn't bad though.
From what I gather, they are fulfilling prophecy related way back to Abraham and his son Ishmael. Ishmael was Abraham's first son (eldest, who normally receives the birthright) and was cursed and perma-banned by the Abrahamic moderation ban-hammer..part of which was that god's authority would not continue through his seed, but his seed would not be forgotten but would still be a special people, never taken from the earth..just cursed to not have authority (priesthood, etc). Anyway, later on, a man apparently starts a belief structure, authors a book, and becomes an icon for a religion deprived people..and well, now there's a billion of them..no authority, not forgotten, and they are a scourge to the side of Abraham's righteous seed (all the other people of the world...and moreso the christian and jewish peoples).
That's my take.
I NULL voted,but would be inclined to simply say they need a reformation....though futile to request since they're here to be a thorn in the side of the seed of Abraham until the end. Period. Yes, complicated, but not really.

Just Another Religion, ans just as with any other religion it doesnt matter what is written in the books, what matters is what the influential people preach. Whether its people with political power or religious importance, or culturally significant pearsons, or just a natural born good speakers.
