Got Crew Specialist Ribbon without one of the requirements...

As the title says...

Today I got my Crew Specialist Ribbon on Iron Gator while in a Hind. I got 24 driver kill assists and 10 kills like the requirements said, but I also needed a driver ability assist. But for some reason I got it without the driver ability assist, looks like the patch changed the requirements a little.

I got crew service ribbon without getting that driver special ability point. You actually get them all the time but rarely notice them. The only time I've noticed them is when I got two piloting a Blackhawk in Gulf of Oman, but when you look on my stats you'll see that I have 298 more than that.

I definetly did not get a crew service point, I was looking at the left of my screen most of the time waiting for it to come. I got no heal, or ammo, or repair point. I was a sniper, and I know my gunner didn't give it to me since there was no place in the round I had lost any health at all (he was a medic). And I looked at the scores end of the round and i had 24 driver points, all of which were driver kill assists. It would have been 25 if I had gotten the driver ability. I'm pretty sure it was because of the patch. Some people are saying that they noticed a change in requirements for other awards too.

I'm pretty sure it sometimes just doesn't appear. Do you recall seeing those 760 driver ability assist points flash up on your screen?

Nope. Driver special ability is seemingly not required. I got it as assault, my sis got it as antitank.

No, but then I usually don't pay attention to all those kill assists and other things scrolling by unless i'm trying to count something specific for an award or medal. I don't recall seeing my driver special ability point when I got my crew service ribbon way back in 1.03 so who knows. I got my helicopter service ribbon in the same round that day.

those driver points rarely show up on screen i got over a 1000 and have seen like 50 or so on screen

You get driver special ability points if someone else in your vehicle heals/supplys/reapairs
So you could have had such a point with the medic in your chopper

(correct me if I'm wrong)

for those who would like to know......a driver special ability point is NOT resupply health or repair! and dont say it is cuz it isnt......i talked 2 EA about it....driver special ability points r when YOU are driving a vehicle or piloting a chopper and a teammate inside ur vehicle kills somone.......it goes with all driver points but its different.!...driver special ability points r only when ur teammates get kills from ur vehicle.....so if im in a chopper with YOU and ur flying and i get lets say15 kills, well u get 15 driver special ability points

i had this ribbon driving a black hawk on mashuur city. I NEVER killed anyone. i got my kill assits and special ability driver point, thats it.

The round started got in the vlack hawk, drove for like 5 mins and received it .

you don't nessicairly have to be driving to get that point. I picked up 4 today in Zatar and didn't even see the driver point. I saw all 9 of my ammo points though.

because there is basically no difference between the 2 except the number of kills and kill assists. Yes there is a crew service ribbon for each version. We are talking about the driver special ability point. If your driving the vehicle and you get an ammo giving point or healing point or repair point it shows up as such, but I believe counted twice in the stats, 1 for driver, 1 for the appropriate acticity, but only once on the teamwork score in game. If someone in your vehicle gets one of those points you get the driver special ability point. I actually had that happen today. That's the difference between what you see regarding the driver points.

yes, a kill assist in a vehicle counts as a driver ability point as well for the driver/pilot.

Mike, they just still show up as driver kill assists when your driving/flying right? I've never seen anything but that when I was flying/driving and the machine gunner got some kills.

correct. apparently the phrase "driver kill assist" has priority over "driver ability point."

nope!!! for that what you tell you will get killassits pointz, you get driver special ablity if someone in your car heli tank etc suport ,heal repair another guy, so its posible that a guy put a medi pack on flag die spwan as a assult go in your car and suddly a guy at the flag get his medi pack. so you will get for this driver pointz , because the who drop this medipack sit in your car as he get his heal point.
