-Upgraded from 512 to 1 GB ram a year ago.
-P4, but 3Ghz though

Mainly the GPU is crap, cpu is doable, ram is doable. Not old pc, the one I use now.

I have a working PC with a pentium 1 66MHz here. It can actually run vista. It takes an hour to boot but it definitely runs.

I did it just too see if it would run. I did it while watching some movies, so no time was lost. I'll make some pics when I get back from my grandma's (mhhhh, I get fed delicious caek)

if all he does is office and internet it should be enough. My mom's 2nd PC has similar specs and works well for that kind of thing
