what I've been meaning to say is that so many AWMs and temp bans have been given out lately, that hardly anyone cares anymore. When you get one, you hardly read though it nowadays. If you send them out too often and for pretty much anything they loose their effectiveness. Some mods are more guilty of than than others obviously and I have to say that even with it's shortcomings BF2s has the best mod team I have come across on the internet. They usually find a decent balance between maintaining order and being abusive nazis. Maybe the rules need to be expanded. No "inappropriate content" is a rather vague rule. I just wish we could go back to the mod style of a year ago *dreams of the good ol' days*

And I do realize that the mods had to step up their efforts after a flood of crap recently, of which I am guilty myself (although I do try to contain stupid senseless posts to threads that are already doomed). Oh well, I suppose we don't live in a perfect world

I fully agree with your thoughts regarding people who don't have an interest in a particular thread but reply it and say "I don't care about such n such", happened last week my reply was, "Well you must do as you have read the thread and taken the time to reply".

Simple isn't it, if you don't like say for eg "Ipod Phone" don't post in the thread and say "I don't like ipod phone" or some negative stuff.

Ive brought up stuff before and as a eg I'll use football. A thread is developing about football and someone will post in it "Football is shit". Can't be too many people around the world love it, same for a particular rock group. You may not like it but that dosen't make it shit.

This kind of thing will always exist here as new members come, old members who know the score go.

Maybe I'm talking shit, which I do well, I dunno.

There will always be times when rules are enforced with greater intolerance over a period of time ... there may be different reasons for that like new Mods, extreme spamming like rick rolls or care cups that tends to flurish for awhile before people understand temps are increasingly being handed out ...

I got my first ever the other week for spam and hadn't ment to just copied the 3 members above but with a slight relation to the thread title I had done it in good humour, felt gutted as if I'd let the side down, myself down and my squeaky clean record had gone. I fully accepted it as rules are there for all of us and the mods do a difficult job but do it very well. I was genuinely gutted.

But if it's obviously something intended to annoy people, do you seriously think what can be construed as making a big deal out of it, and getting pissed off, is the best way to deal with it? Edit: Steel, can you seriously not tell the difference between a purpose-designed game such as BF2 or CoD4, and just fucking with people for the sake of fucking with people? Besides, the Nazi comparison, besides being unnecessary, is irrelevant. As far as I know there have always been rules here, analogous to the laws of a country, as in follow them or there will be punishment. It's like committing a crime, then whining about fascist dictatorships when you get arrested.

The forums have, to a degree been clear and to the point. The mods/admins have kept this forum in shape enough for it to be just a good forum, regardless of the fact that it was started based upon a videogame.

I don't see what is so wrong with my post, according to you. Rather than be cutesy and nice, I posted this to be direct, and to the point, and call people who behave liek this what they are. I have stated a few times, I am not all pissed off, though the text may seem other wise.

It's like going to your favorite bar, only to find a pack of retards have become regulars, and act like jackasses. This forum, through the many I have read on, been around, is one of my favorites, Since , as TMo said, there are rules against it, just stop it. That's all i'm saying .

if someone does post you a care-cup then obviously they cared enough to do so, i.e. your post was not in vein it was read and replied to.
