Alright I need someone to help me with this problem, I'm sure it's easy but I cant find an example problem like this for the life of me. I need to solve the matrix. Please show all steps, thx!

[5 x] = [y -3]

or

[3 2x] = [3 -2]
[y -8] = [1 -8]

The above one is all one matrix, one big bracket. Thanks for the help
