Just released report today, basically says Iraq War was a big fat boondoggle.

Nothing surprising about that.

What is surprising is the source, the NDU, part of our staff college system for upper ranking officers.

I'd say somebody didn't get the memo, or someone is making sure all the right asses are covered.  In the memo it seems Rumsfeld was (rightfully) hung out to dry, but it missed a few other big names that seem to have been sainted (Franks and Shinseki).  It also doesn't mention torture or Blackwater scandals as part of the aftermath.

Lots of progress it seems, even hard-core cheerleaders are coming around to how much BS was the Iraq invasion.

I'm guessing no one has responded to this because they see the title and think "cheerleaders stuffing something? sweet" and then get in and are disappointed when the topic's about war and corruption and all that junk.

To the people who once supported the war and have since woken up, all I can say is: I told you so. Too bad we're stuck there now.

But, I was told the Rackies would pay for their own liberation.
What happened?

They wanted to pay for their own liberation, they really did. But IEDs are just so damn expensive...

Not to mention the severance packages for all those suicide bombers. God, just the health care costs alone must be huge...

I'm highly disappointed.

Yeah well, it doesn't cost anything now does it? We've got our scapegoats and our dead-end. It's not like anything can be changed.
