Whats a better MOS in the Marines 0311 Rifleman or 5811 Military Police?
Im not worried about being deployed, and I plan to be a state trooper when I get out.

I was in the Army so I can't speak for the Marines, but I would think if you goal is to become a State Trooper then you would want to go with Military Police as your MOS.

If you end up in infantry you may have a chance to enlist in Security Forces, go for it, you will hold a Secret or Top Secret Cleareance. The opportunity may show up after Boot Camp when you graduate from school of infantry.

Do both. Be an MP first then tell them after a year you want transferred to a different MOS then go infantry. We had alot of guys come into our infantry unit from MP units, although you will have to go back to school.

Depends. Everyone loves the grunts so go for that. I, personally wasn't a grunt but it shouldn't really matter as along as you become a United States Marine.
If you want to be a Police Officer, the following MOS help greatly, 03XX, 5811, and little known Security Forces, 8152 (b Billet mos, your primary will be O311 or others).
