It's not that it's the best level of football, obviously the top English and Spanish teams have better players, but the level of passion and intensity in the Glasgow derby is matched only by maybe the big Turkish derbies or Barcelona vs. Madrid (which isn't a real derby). The Glasgow derby is one of the few soccer fixtures in Europe that has an actual International political conflict as a backdrop to it.Gooners wrote:
