Hello friends.
I few months/weeks (I can't remember they all blend into one another) ago I made a thread asking about the merits of projectors vs LCD's in a home theater-esque setup.
^^ IMPORTANT...this is not a cinema nut den - it is just a room with surround sound and a big screen.
So anyway. I have been poking around the internets for a few hours today, mainly on CNET.com.au so far, as they are fairly reliable from my experiences and have good user comments/reviews often as well.
It seems that you can get entry 1080p projectors for $3-4k AU. Ones like this etc.
Obviously we would want to have a test before shelling out $4000 but apart from that is there anything glaring I am missing/ignoring/not knowing?
Requirements:
HDMI, DVI, $AU4000 M A X I M U M (would prefer $3-3.5k).
Room is approx. 6x6 metres, purely for watching this projector (ie couch will be ~5/4m away, and wall has plenty of space).
Thanking you kindly I hope
edit:
Also just remembered something. www.staticice.com.au is a fantastic AU price grabber site. It will get the cheapest prices guaranteed. (I am in QLD btw)
