It's getting close to the biggest fight on the planet. It hasn't been a good time for British boxers of late despite the golden era they've experienced in recent years; Hatton beaten by Mayweather, Woods beaten by Tarver, Matt Skelton beaten by Ruslan Chagaev and Gavin Rees beaten by Andreas Kotelnik but now it's big Joe's shot!

Race has even been made an issue with Hopkins supposedly saying he "would never let a white boy beat him" but can the 43 year old executioner really beat the unbeaten Calzaghe who is seven years his junior?

I was being semi-ironic because every fight these days is billed as "THE BIGGEST FIGHT ON THE PLANET". But seriously though these guys are actually the real deal, Calzaghe is the longest reigning undefeated champion and was undisputed champion at Cruiserweight while Hopkins has beaten the likes of De La Hoya, Tarver (from the Rocky Balboa film) and Felix Trinidad.

This is Calzaghe's first fight outside Wales though.

Boxing is not bad these days...it's just the heavyweight division that is absolute rubbish but David Haye is going to wreak havoc on it next year.

I'd watch boxing, if I actually saw some advertising to see wtf was going on in the world of boxing. As of late, I've only seen mayweather being a jackass bragging about how much money he has.

As for Rubix - I can't wait for the fight either. St-Pierre vs. Serra? Shiet. I want to see Serra lose the belt, and fall out of the spotlight. I'm tired of hearing him complain that he's not being respected by his next opponent.

Ive been smacked in the face by the last person to beat Joe.

Micheal Smythe was a fellow Welsh Boxer and they fought approx 15 years ago. My mates had beaten up this guys brother the night before, I had one of them in my car at the time, MS see's them, see's me, runs over at the junction and punched me in the face. Having a window between us didn't seem to put him off at the time and after some persuading from my family I accepted his apology and he accepted what happened the night before had nothing to do with me. I still needed to go to the scarpies and get a driver side window for a (name escapes me) "Old Car".

We were dressed up on our way clubbing 30 mins drive away and couldn't go for obvious reasons.
