Glock 17 or Beretta 92FS?

I was just watching Collateral and I saw that the cop had a 92FS which made me wonder about this.

edit: if this helps, the ammo i carry in my .45 is IQ. IMO, some of the best you can get.

target ammo for 9mm's comes in at around 1300FPS.

the 9mm IQ round travels at 1550FPS, and generates 347Ft-Lb's.

Is thee difference between them that small?

Let's go with......FMJ bullets

Which one gets higher velocity?

target rounds, 1300fps.

edit:
damn submit button got away from me.

not sure i understand the question.
if you fire the same type of 9mm ammunition from different guns, you will have the same results. save some full autos which require good ammo to correctly cycle the weapon.

The one that is less accurate (or has a looser barrel). The bullet will be slowed less by the rifling

If you have the same length barrel, using the same ammo, the Glock MAY fire at a slightly (and I emphasize SLIGHTLY) higher velocity.  This is due to Glocks using hexagonal rifling vs. the traditional way.

In reality, it doesn't make much difference.
Barrel length does make a difference.

edit: I just looked it up.
Glock 17, 17C barrel length: 4.49 inches
M9 (92FS) barrel length: 4.9 inches
Therefore, the M9 should fire at a slightly higher velocity
