I posted a message this morning stating I was having issues with my video card, but it turns out, it was issues with this shitty program.

Usually I'm not a noob at these things, but I figured, hey, the program came right off nvidia's website, should be good, never had a problem with their shit before.

Nope.

Broke my fucking computer. Avoid this POS at all costs, as you will lose your mind trying to get rid of it. It does not uninstall easy, like everything else should, so I basically had to go into my registry to get rid of it, because it basically kept accessing my BIOS and changing things to what it wanted, inherently making my system unstable.

So, whatever you do, don't install it.

You trusted a program to tune your system automatically? Are you mental?

Always, always, always do these things manually. As a tool for manually editing BIOS settings while being lazy I've found nTune to be very handy.

I used it just to overclock my video card. I haven't had any problems yet.
What is nvTray?

edit: I'm guessing nTune isn't just for video cards. It's for tuning your whole system (CPU, memory, etc) right? I downloaded coolbits to unlock the nVidia overclocking settings in the nVidia Control Panel. I should be safe, right?

Use rivatuner, it is the best. It has a steeper learning curve than ntune, but it works and doesnt f up your system.
