None of our teachers are striking, which is good but bad.

The national teacher's union (NUT) is striking because the pay rise the government has given them is below inflation, so it is basically a fall in wages.

Back in high school, my teachers went on strike on two occasions. I didn't mind. I brought them Timbits.

I'd also offer my expertise for those of you out of school like "Uncle" 27 here, but I'm a history major. We're kind of useless. Just go read Wikipedia and you'll be fine.

Oh, and just to mention: University is out for the next five months. Jealous?
