[Burnout Paradise] Isn't going away at all

We've all heard of GTA 4, and Midnight Club Los Angeles is coming out soon, but Burnout is still alive and kicking, especially with the updates they have in store.

Along with DLC content in the form of a new Island/Area and some new cars. They have the following updates.

For the first time, we'll let you loose in a Burnout game on motorbikes!

We wanted to clear the traffic out a little to give you the chance to learn how to ride in safety, and we've always wanted to cruise the streets of Paradise City with incredible night-time visuals.

Also, a new patch for the PS3 is being released today (I think) - and also, the X360 one was released a week earlier. It has some problems (fps issues) but they're being sorted out at the moment according to criterion.

Fun times ahead for sure.

Bogart - Released today

Cagney - About a month

Davis - August 08

Eastwood - Probably around same time as Davis

I loved the bi-plane as well. I hope it makes it into the game somehow.

GTA4 coming out in like, 3 days.

It's a sick game though, you'll find it much easier and forgiving than GT5:P. Actually, it can be just as hard in terms of trying not to crash. Fun game though, online is awesome too. They're doing alot to keep it fresh. I can still see myself playing this game even when GTA is out. Definitley.

Although I've got alot now. F1 (borrowed not bought), GT5:P, Burnout, Warhawk (it's not THAT bad, I suppose....just hard and annoying to start off with) and CoD4

I'm spilling abit too much cash into my PS3 these days

I thought Paradise sucked, probably the worst of all the burnout series I've played, they fucked up "Crash" and that was the best thing about them.

Yeah the crash mode on paradise is awful compared to previous ones.

Well. I think it's been getting progressively worse and worse since the first incarnation of it in Burnout 2.

Burnout 3 made it less about learning each individual section and learning how to do well in each one and instead made it about 'Get the x4 or lose'.

Burnout Revenge's golf-crashes were just rubbish. They really were. The fact that the entire things were in slow motion and the fact that they had cheering playing all the time just made it even worse.

And then Paradise's bouncy bouncy crappy boring crash mode where it felt the same no matter where you did it. There was no feeling of a big crash at all in Showtime. Just individual cars hitting into you.

I hope with the next Burnout game (or even with this one...) they put a proper crash mode back in. No pickups, no ridiculous golf-game starts, no aftertouch, no bouncing, as little slo-mo as possible, no bloody cheering.

Just you, a crash junction, and strategy. How to get the best crash from your one impact. It was the best.
