Ive been looking at 2 sets so far, the senheisers CX500 http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electro … oduct.html

and the skullcandy full metal jacket. http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electro … oduct.html

the only problem is the 2nd comment downon the skullcandys is that they arnt good for the touch,

review states: I bought these based on everyone else's recommendation, and although they are nice and loud there doesn't appear to be any clarity in the sound whatsoever. Perhaps they'd be better if they were being used with something other than an Ipod i.e. you could manually set up a graphic equializer setting to get the most from them, but with my Itouch they sound crap.

if anyone has experience with any, please post!!!

I have the first model, the 110.  Even though they are the lowest model they are incredible and come with a set of like 5 different sizes/types of earpieces so they fit your ear really well.  They cancel noise out pretty well too.

The only thing I didn't like was that they were hard to put on the first few times but after a while it was really easy.

Edit: And I have an iPod Touch as well

Quadruple posting = ban?

EDIT - Lol, it looks OK now...

The Skullcandy are great, you can feel the Bass, even without the EQ, but I don't see how it would be that different from each device.

I've had bad experience with Sennheiser's, cable is really thin. Made out of dog shit in comparison to the actual earphone.

Would say skullcandy, however if you're not worried about your street cred, get proper headphones.. like big ones. Tried them once... so ood.

I really wish they would have made it bluetooth with the headphones.  Like these.  That sucks for my ipod touch.

I'm just using the original headphones with my iPod Touch (even though the insulation is tearing away )

I'm sure the Shure's are great, but come on now... $120 for a pair of earbuds?!

I would go with the Skullcandy's.  You can't base a decision off a single review - that person may have received a damaged pair or not have a clue what he's talking about.  Other than the one review you pointed out, I have heard only good things about the Skullcandy earbuds.  I'll be buying a pair for myself in the near future.

Get used to it. There's a 1,600 dollar keyboard in a nearby thread. From what I can gleam from the review, the person doesn't know what they're talking about. EQ capability is an argument against the iPod, one I rejoice in reading. Blaming the earbuds for it is not fair, but in other words they are saying you need EQ filters to make these sound good. Which means they typically sound bad.

Don't use EQ, it only fucks everything up. Turn EQ off and get a good pair of earplugs.

When buying earplugs, always get a descent brand-name, and generally, high price = good. You need to dish out at least $100 for some high-quality earplugs.

i moved to shure from Skullcandys, and trust me, the Shures are 100% worth however much you pay for them.  they are that much better.

personally, I paid $60 for a $100 model, so i thought it was a steal.

Important note: you are going to have buy an adapter for standard 3.5mm jacks to work - the actual metal connection part is a bit deeper in the iPod Touch, which is why the iPod earphones (for the Touch) look a bit strange at the bottom.
nope, that would be the iPhone.

The iPod Touch uses standard inputs, like all other MP3 players.
