I've seen many a pilot avoid missiles now, and piloting now takes more effort. 

You CAN have a good flying round with chopper OR plane if you've got genuine skill. 

I've seen a few people that are good at it - but - the catch, now the AA can hit them IF you've got a good shot on them and plan right.  The range of the AA is just enough - where if you wait for the flares, then get a new lock - they can go out of range and get away!  Imagine that? 

It's all about if you're careful or not.

AA works - but it can be avoided if you play smart.

My personal trick to avoid aircraft and missiles, happily, still works.    I'm not giving that up though ... heheh ... as I don't see many other people pulling the same stunt. 

Takes effort - planning, timing, skill.  Gone are the "easy" days of flying.  I like it - I think it's balanced - AA and Air.


But yeah, the Blackhawk should be able to take a couple hits & do flares faster.  It's big and slow for a reason , plus there's a crew of 5 guys (well, sometimes) to reload the flares ... but 2 direct AA missile strikes - 1 strike should hurt it bad, 2 should bring to the virge of death - where you can parachute out just in time - 3 AAM shots should be blow-up.

The AA has been made less powerful, it is just as accurate as it should be now.
The AA is fine, it's just a lot different from the useless bullseye decoration it used to be. Get used to it, you are actually going to be shot down every now and then.
