So I have a PS3 40 gig. And 22" Samsung that everyone has. Forget the model number. 2ms response time.

What cable is needed to hook it up? If it's possible that is.

I know NewEgg wont deliver to you, but this is for reference, so you can search for it at what ever store you use. I assume a tech store (Bestbuy/Radioshack in the US) would have this aswell.

And don't cut corners on the price either. With converters, you really do pay more for better quality.

DVI-HDMI cable. I used that before I bought a HDTV. You need to sort the sound though.

You guys have three options for sound:

1- Use the composite cable, connect the Red & White to your TV. So to get the sound, you have to leave your TV on. Easiest option imho, all you need is to have your TV next your PS3 and monitor.

2- Use Optical Surround Sound. The PS3 has Optical Sound out...This is probably gonna cost you quite a bit.

3- Use your PC Speakers. However, you need some adapters. I am looking for a guide. It was very useful.

1. not an option for me, t.v. is mounted on the wall, pc is on the other side

2. probably not worth it, the difference

If you have HDMI in your TV, you'll only need an HDMI cable.

if not, you can either:
a) Use the Component -> Scart converter
          - Gives you audio and video in one connection, though it doesnt give you true HD.

b) Buy and HDMI cable, an HDMI -> DVI converter and use the Component (red and white) audio cables.
          - Gives you HD Video but not audio, but I don't think you'll notice a difference on standard TV speakers.

c) Use the standard component cables
          - Gives you 1080p, but not as good as HDMI.
