What is it?

Consider the quality of the work (or obvious lack thereof), management, company policy, hours and coworkers.

The worst quality of work job:  I was a dishwasher at a small Greek restaurant.  The work sucked but I needed money, so what could I bitch about?  My coworkers were great though.  I also learned to love 50's and 60's music working there.

The worst hours I ever worked:  Two jobs, but for different reasons...  Security at my university.  8pm to 430am during the week.  I liked that job a lot though, because once you know how the rules are enforced, you know how to better break them...    I also worked at a liquor store for 3 weeks around christmas time for 4 years.  13.5 hour days, 6 days in a row is really tough.

The worst management job:  Security.  They often forgot to pay you, and would take weeks of hounding to get them to issue a check.  Electronic payroll fixed all this, but that didn't come into the picture until my last semester working there.

I have never had a job spoiled by coworkers.

Making Candyfloss - for about three hours each day. Then on the tills at the sweet shop...all for about £20. It was no fun.

At the kitchen in a local pub, washing plates and shit.

Shit was so not cash.

The pay was crap, the chefs were ancient, they never talked, the only good thing was that they employed fit waitresses.

IT Helpdesk. That was jut work experience, so I only did it for 2 weeks. But it fucking sucked. I just sat and answered the phone to thick people then went upstairs and turned their computers off and on again.

Cleaning the damn snow in Vienna. I did that with a mate for one season and never again.
You sign a contract for a winter season and you get certain amount of streets and parks and stuff and that is your responsibility. Streets have to be clear for cars, and sidewalks for pedestrians. So during the winter everytime it starts snowing you have to clear it. We had a small jeep with a snowplow and salt/rocks dispenser that we used for the street, but all sidewalks had to be done with shovels.
Once it snowed for more than 48 hours straight. So we clear a sidewalk, cover it with salt and some other chemicals and it stays clear for about 2 hours. After that snow start accumulating again and we have to clear it again. So we clear all our designated areas and once we are done we have to go back to the first street and go through all of them again. And so on...
So we did that for about 2 days with just 1-2 hours of sleep occasionally. Usually when its rush hour, too many cars and people to allow snow to accumulate and too hard to work. I think I nearly died than.

Last summer I cleaned a 1937 Luscombe Model 8, which is a very old aluminum airplane (see picture).

https://www.wilhelm-aerospace.org/Airplanes/oshkosh-04/19-luscombe-camp.jpg
(not the one I polished, but another aluminum model)

The owner failed to mention that it had been in storage for the last 40+ years gathering dust and dirt.  It doesn't really seem like it would be that hard of work, but it was pretty tough to wield a 10 lb polisher in all different positions (had to get the top of the wings and the belly, too)  trying to get it to shine like the one pictured.  But I made like $1000 in 2 weeks, so I guess it was worth it.

vegetables section Supermarket,

Fucked up hours, annoying/pissed 24/7 co-workers, worst pay ever, 1 manager got fired for being corrupt, second one was dissing me 24/7 (I was 14/15), with the Third one I supposedly was doing "everything" wrong, when in fact the manager of the whole shebang (when he was at the store complimented me for doing a good job,

so I had my third 1/2 year contract coming to an end and they were like: "so we know you want to stay here blabla right?" all being nice then, but i said "fuck this, i am gone"

best decision ever

Never had a bad job, but some of the things that I had to do while working in Homebase were really annoying.

Mainly when the manager came in on a very very hot summers day and decided that the Tiling aisles needed to be moved about. I would spend 8 hours a day lifting, counting, moving boxes of ceramic tiles. By the end of the day I was soaking in sweat, and had the next day to look forward to doing the same shit.

Worked wonders this last season until we got the 50cm dumping.

On topic...

Worst job I've ever done was picking strawberries for an asshole farmer. He put me in one of the rows that had probably been done already so I had a hard time filling up a couple baskets. Four hours of fucking work and I only got $15 (paid by the basket). Needless to say that was my first and last day working for him.

I'm working in a IT helpdesk and it's actually quite nice. Except for when a server goes kaboom or shit like that happens. Then it's all hell. Few weeks back I answered 103 phonecalls which was some kind of record there. Enemyofallkind even made me a medal of a dvd and some monitor cord and wrote "Medal 100" on it It's really fun to laugh at idiots after you "configure" their NumLock button (press it on ffs!) or the scroll button on a freekin mouse

Worked at Circuit City for 3 days. I was on the product flow team, so not only did I have to unload heavy TV's from the trucks, but I had to conquer my fear of heights by riding the stockpicker up 4 stories and walk onto metal grate shelves that I could see right through to the floor. All this for $7.25 an hour, and I was only temp over x-mas break, so in a month they would have said, get outta here. I walked out on my lunch break and never came back after they told me that another guy did that the day before.

Ive just got home from my job. I work as a KP in a busy italian near where i live. Tonight was horrendous. The other KP left at 10 leaving me to clean the kitchen and then one of the cooks broke the fryer so grease pissed out all over the floor. To top it all off, as i was upstairs getting changed the bar staff thought they were the only ones left and turned all the lights off and set the alarm which went off when i burst through the exit. This is my first job. I hope to god it doesnt get much worse.
