That's not too bad, what is it under load? If it stays under 55-60 under load you're fine. My friend's phenom 9600 got to 2.6ghz with no voltage changes at all, and temps only went up 5C or so.tobz102 wrote:

If you're worried, don't do it. The difference in performance between their defaults and what you'll get now are negligible, compared to say, what you'd get if you overclocked your cpu. In other words if you're gonna take the (miniscule) risk and do anything, do it right and overclock your cpu as well
already at 37ish idle
thts a good point actually, i have noticed tht even after a jour or so of tf2 tht the temp only went up by approx 4-5 degrees.Aries_37 wrote:

Its not PC 8500 (1066mhz). Its PC6400 thats 800mhz and the real frequency is 2x400mhz. So everything is okay here.tobz102 wrote:

Are these slower than they should be? i no my motherboard and cpu are ready for 1066MHz
Looks good. Now on to overclocking the CPU
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
rofl i missed that, i assumed the op knew what ram he had. That being said on lax timings ballistix pc6400 might make 1066 ^^.Sup wrote:

Maybe CPU-Z isn't detecting his ram properly?
fancy helping me with tht too?max wrote:

It is fine... 533Mhz that it shows in CPU-z is correct.
That is the real clock, 1066MHz is the "effective" clock. It is called Dual-Data Rate for a reason.
