Console....should I?

Alright, so I have always been a diehard PC users, never owned any consoles (except for a NES waaaay back <3).

But since I will be filthy rich after working all summer I think I might get a PS3.

But, is it really worth it? Are there that many better games that don't come out on PC but come out on PS3? And can I use my 22" PC monitor for the PS3 or do I need to buy a TV too?

What do you think?

Some games come out on PC that are also availale for the PS3. However, GTA IV is strictly console - as fas as I know. I guess it all dependson what games you like to play.

I've never been a fan of consoles. But they're good if you've got a few mates hanging out. Just sit around playing games, drinking beer (or Red Bull if you're too young for beer - gotta love getting hyper ). I loved GT2 of the play station...

Nothing wrong with a console. Pick it up play it put it down.

I would almost guarantee you can use your monitor with the ps3.

Consoles have all the games for the foreseable future. I am really strugling to think of a game unique to PC that I would choose over, GTA4, Gran turisimo or metal gear solid :\

Yeah - there are some games that I would just love to play. Forza, GTAIV etc...I would recommend at least buying one and trying it. If you don't like it; sell it. But I have a hunch you will I got myself a Wii and love it! (had it for about 4 months now)

So far all the GTA games have come out on console first then 6 months later come out on pc, minus the bugs.

You should be able to, all the console variants like the GTA's are pre set up for pc playing and you can very easily set the keys back to work with a controllers layout.

I would wait until June and buy the 80 GB version that comes bundled with Metal Gear Solid. That's what I'm going to do. For $100 more you get 100% more storage, backwards compatibility with PS2 games (I think), and a badass game.

Why'd everyone stop dissing the PS3 all of the sudden...?

I'm not really taking sides, but last I checked, the PS3 was as bad as Vista, what gives?

What's so special about GTAIV anyways, the way I see it, it;s San andreas with a different story line...I don't get it.
