Either my fucking insane cat (needed two stitches on my hand), or a horse fly.

Horseflies patrol my neighborhood pool and nearly everyone has some kind of weapon ready to smack one when they land.  I killed one once, and we measured it to be 2 inches long, huge fuckers.

wiki wrote:

The bite from a larger specimen is extremely painful, especially considering the light, agile, and airborne nature of the fly. Unlike insects which surreptitiously puncture the skin with needle-like organs, horse flies have mandibles like tiny serrated scimitars, which they use to rip and/or slice flesh apart. This causes the blood to seep out as the horsefly licks it up. They may even carve a chunk completely out of the victim, to be digested at its leisure.

I'm not sure how much those things hurt, but I bet a Horsefly is almost as painful, especially when bitten in the inner thigh!

wikipedia wrote:

The hornets can devastate a colony of honey bees: a single hornet can kill as many as 40 honey bees per minute thanks to their large mandibles which can quickly strike and decapitate a bee. It takes only a few of these hornets a few hours to exterminate the population of a 30,000-member hive, leaving a trail of severed insect heads and limbs. The European honey bees Apis mellifera have small stings which do little damage to hornets that are three times their size and twenty times their weight. The honey bees make futile solo attacks without mounting a collective defense, and are easily killed individually by the hornets. Once a hive is emptied of all defending bees, the hornets feed on the honey and carry the larvae back to feed to their own larvae. The hornets can fly up to 60 miles (95 km) in a single day, at speeds up to 25 mph or 40 km/h.

wikipedia wrote:

The stinger of the Asian giant hornet is about 6 mm (¼ in) in length, and injects an especially potent venom that contains, like many bee and wasp venoms, a cytolytic peptide (specifically, a mastoparan) that can damage tissue by stimulating phospholipase action, in addition to its own intrinsic phospholipase. Masato Ono, an entomologist at Tamagawa University near Tokyo, described the sensation as feeling "like a hot nail being driven into my leg."

An allergic human stung by the giant hornet may die from an allergic reaction to the venom; but the venom contains a neurotoxin called mandaratoxinwhich can be lethal to people who are not allergic if the dose is sufficient. About 70 people die each year in Japan after being stung by giant hornets.

Anyway there's a certain kind of ant with wings in Saudi Arabia that when it bit you, that area where it bit felt like it was on fire. I got bit twice by those little pricks. I thought it was a spider at first but the second time I found the little bastard right where it hurt. I killed every one I found after that.

A little tiny tick. Seriously, I used to be allergic to them, and I got bit somewhere every summer and had to take all sorts of medicines and stuff. I remember one summer I got bit by one on the back of my knee, and it got all purple and sweaty and swelled up so big that I couldn't bend my leg at all.
