http://www.pcplay.hr/modules.php?r=23It is certainly. We are suffering currently from the huge piracy that is encompassing Crysis. We seem to lead the charts in piracy by a large margin, a chart leading that is not desirable. I believe that's the core problem of PC Gaming, piracy. To the degree PC Gamers that pirate games inherently destroy the platform. Similar games on consoles sell factors of 4-5 more. It was a big lesson for us and I believe we wont have PC exclusives as we did with Crysis in future. We are going to support PC, but not exclusive anymore.
Fuk...
That's why you don't make singleplayer games. Nobody wants to pay 50 bucks for ~`10hrs of game.
It's all about the MP.
It's all about the MP.
Well even bill gates cant fcking run crysis on max.
If they hadnt made such a short poor quality game they might have sold more, good to see they arent willing to take responsibility for that choice though. This is the exact kind of thing you should expect if you focus too heavily on graphics.
I'd have pirated it too if my comp could run it.
here in the real world, theres this thing called money.Vilham wrote:

businesses NEED it in order to survive. if a bunch of little nerds want to get e-revenge on a company that produced a "short poor quality game", by essentially stealing it, they cant make money on said product.
what they did here is make a smart business decision.
but by your theory, they almost invited this problem and "arent willing to take responsibility", for making a game that people steal.
that makes sense......somehow.
It does, people were willing to pirate it but not buy it because it simply wasn't that good. There are lots of people who pirate and buy games equally, depending on the game itself. The developers decided to go with consoles because those people will be far more likely to buy it instead of pirate it.Parker wrote:

Also, please don't say things like "a bunch of nerds want to get e-revenge". If you have a point to make, make it without having to say "you are wrong, and you are also wrong because I insult you."

the reason crysis was so wildly pirated is cause it ran like shit and nobody wanted too buy a game when they knew it was going too run horribly on their pc
So once against people who pirate deal another blow to PC gaming ...
Lol, yes, as if PC games are the only thing pirated, my buddies modded xbox had several dozen games on it which I know he does not own. Piracy will always exist, and because one mediocre game with fancy graphics that ran like crap for 99% of its market didnt sell well, they have to go to consoles. Maybe im crazy, but i dont see the point. Just exposing them self to even more piracy. As said before, they didnt deliver on a game, as such people would rather pirate it, play through and unistall rather then waste $50 on it. I know several people who regret buying it.
Developers really always see piracy the wrong way. They seem to think that everyone who pirates the game would have bought the game regardless but that isn't true. So they look at figures, see that they're massive and think "Oh God, look at how much money we've lost" when they should be focusing on how much money they're making.
id like to see Crysis 2 on PS3
no bs Xbox games
that console cant handle it

It probably could, apparently the Xbox is a hell of lot easier to make games for.henno13 wrote:

i see.....if i make a knife that has defects in it, people are allowed to steal it from me.....right on.
wow, now i fully understand how the world works, that makes perfect sense.
would you rather me call them "a bunch of criminals that want to get e-revenge"?
cause thats what it breaks down to.
people think that a product isnt worth their money, so they just steal it.
nope, sorry......back here in reality, that shit doesnt work so well.
just because its computer software, doesnt make it right.
in fact, it has driven this company FURTHER away from supporting PC games.
GG nerds.
Same here.
I buy all my big titles, mainly because I want the MP. (Anyway, Crysis MP sucks, but hopefully a modification will be made with good MP :P)
How are they ever going to get something like Crysis to run on something as underpowered as a console?
If developers gave a 6hour trial time not some half assed demo or no demo more than likely people will buy it. I admit I download cod4 to test it and I bought the game 2 months later to play mp because its a really well made game with a good story line and very thought out. But every other game I have tested I just get rid of them.
