The wife and I were discussing this guy last night. About why doesn't he realize that he is sabotaging the first real chance a black man has had at the top position in this country. My thought was that Wright's ego is getting in the way of his rational thought (he loves the attention he's getting). Your idea is certainly a different take on that, and it's entirely possible.

I think Wright is a couple fries short of a Happy Meal, regardless.

I did hear someone say that some races/groups are like crabs in a bucket, one tries to climb out and all the others pull him back in.
It seems to be a kind of victim mindset people get into, if the other guy succeeds then I have no excuse for being a failure, so I'd better make damn sure the other guy fails too.

It's an interesting theory. It follows the same logic that the Bush administration deliberately capitalised on 9/11 or that the Zionists deliberately capitalised on the Holocaust i.e. playing the victim card to follow one's own agenda...without the victim card your agenda becomes that little bit harder to follow.
