Would there be any difference in running BF2 with a CD crack or the original CD, or both? No idea how it works

^^^ What he said. A cracked .exe won't work online, but a mini-image mounted in Daemon tools will.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Add me on xfire and I'll send you the mini-image.

I have a mini disk image of BF2 and I can run it without a CD, I wanted to know if it would make the game run quicker with or without using it, if I'm going to lose 10 FPS and hitreg due to not having the disk in, I'd rather just use the disk.
I understand you're trying to help and perhaps I worded my question wrong, I was interested in what the difference is.

The disk has nothing to do with gameplay, it just verifies the disc before you start the game to make sure it is a legal copy.
I see, so it doesn't use the disk at ALL whilst playing? Everything runs from your files? Cheers.jamiet757 wrote:

Yes, it only uses the disc to verify that you actually own the game, but other than that, it doesn't access it again.
