it keeps turning off and the only way that i can get it working for more than 2 minutes is to restart my computer, does anyone know how to fix this problem?
I dont know how to fix it.... but this has happened to 2 of my friends with G5's.... it hasnt happened to me yet though.... if u have had it less than a year logitech will give u a new one on warranty... or if u got an extended waranty with the store etc... otherwise as far as i know.... ur mouse is dying.XxRavenxX wrote:

Try changing the USB port the mouse is plugged into, and if it uses batteries, replace them.
Also update drivers.
Good luck.

i told my friends to do that.... didnt work.. but u might as well try it anyway... when the problem was first discribed to me it sounded more like the actual USB problem... but i was proved wrongTheAussieReaper wrote:

try turning down the "report rate" in set point --> that tower icon --> advanced game settings --> report rate. Some PCs can't handle a report rate of 1000

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
ur mouse is broke. so was mine, it did the same thing. no matter what usb port u put it or how many times u reinstall ur drivers. Go to buy a new one like i did now i have 3 year warranty( and on extra button )

I'm not saying it is. But it could be.
Do not use the software. I installed it think it was cool, I kept on running into glitches that would cause all my drop down bars to circulate on firefox, the only way to fix was to unplug and re plug it/restart. Uninstalled the piece of shitware, works like a charm now.
One of my old mx518 mice started doing this after a year of use(would stop working for 15-30 seconds), and unfortunately it didn't survive long enough to get to the troubleshooting stage. It did it one too many times during some hardcore BF2 action and ended up getting smashed to pieces.
