Gas prices are up, and most likely going much higher within a few years.

We have lots of people sitting around that would work for cheap.

We pay said people to cart us/things around because it's cheaper than gas.

Think of it as "alternative energy".

Yeah, I'm sure I can find myself a cheap laborer that can run me to work(25miles) in an hour.

Thanks, it gave me a chuckle.

It's not racist Slutter. The gas prices will put people of every ethnicity out of work that would be willing to run people around on carts.

Besides, we need to learn to not be so dependent on our cars. Everywhere else in the world is much more dependent on walking/biking, our little dreamworld is going to get crushed eventually.

How much is the cost of manual labour compared to gas prices? That'd be something to consider.

Assuming 24mpg and 70mph

1 hour of driving = 70 miles = 2.9 gallons = $11.66
Fair bit over minimum wage. Hmmmm......

As far as I know, people cannot run at 70mph ... let alone pull other people at that speed!

Do you really think that huge guy in the first picture can fit into that car?
