Ahhhh!!! Gtaiv Help!?

I just bought the game today, popped it in, and let it install....okay, great. But now i'm on the "Starting A New Game" screen...and it's taking FOREVER to load! WTF i've rebooted the game/ps3 2 times and its still taking forever!

Who has the PS3 version of the game and how long did it take your game to start after seeing that black screen?

ive heard it takes ages for it to load for the first time, try leaving it for 10 mins or something

He may have just phrased it weird. Because GTA IV is definitely not out on PC.

when i first put it in it came up and said "To Use this Disc, please put it in an Xbox 360 Console" in 30 different languages for a while.

god dammit... i cant stop laughing in my head the only way to do it is.... ^^^^^ "Thats what she said."

on the ps3 you have to install some parts of the games to make them run faster, the problem is not the console but it's the blueray drive that does not work the same way as the old drives (cd, DvD) just read about the blueray disc and you will see.

an example is the ps3 version of unreal tournament 3 where 6 gigs have to be installed on the harddrive

Really? I only own assissins creed and GTA4, but both games had to be installed.

Its automatic and not like on a PC where you choose a location ect, but you pop it in and it will sit there and load for a long time, then the game will start. That first load is it being installed on your PS3's hard drive.
