So I'm finally in the market for an HD TV and I'm having difficulty deciding. This will be the final addition to my gaming room:
That tiny 27" CRT "television" needs replacement. My budget is about $1000, but I have a couple questions.
1) I know that games like GTA IV say that they can output 1080p, but is there any real noticeable difference between games/movies on a 720p and a 1080p tv?
2) Plasma vs LCD, I know that plasma has a better contrast ratio and the colors are a lot brighter, but I've heard varying things about screen burn in... and that could be a problem with a PS3 and 360. Does anyone have a plasma and can you vouch for the claims that the burn in problem as been fixed?
3) HDMI vs component. So I'll be getting an HDMI cable to run from the PS3 to the TV, but should I also get one for the 360 to the TV or is component fine? I've heard a million different things
I'm really considering this one, and it's on sale for $899 at Fry's ATM, so before I get it, is there anything you know that would change mind?
