Which is usually caused by some sort of addiction, drug or alcohol.DoctaStrangelove wrote:

But I refuse to believe these people are beyond help however.

Blame Capitalism, this is what happens to those with mental illnesses and/or are alcoholic, addicted to drugs, and cannot keep a regular job and home. The safety net of America doesnt cover them.
It may be true that most homeless people did not choose their situation, but many do. The homeless people I have met seem to be pretty happy. They even have little homeless parties and gatherings. They sleep alone or in groups on park benches and during the day they read, play chess, and listen to the radio. I've seen lonely homeless who sit by themselves all the time and I have seen greedy homless who make loads of money sitting next to a stop light with a sign. Heck, I've seen homeless accept a nice looking sandwich, then toss it when the person who gave it to them isn't looking. It may be different in San Diego, but that's what I have seen. Also, the temperature here is usually from 65-75 during the night and 69-79 during the day. That probably makes their lives a lot better.NateWiese wrote:

Yeah, that's true, some do choose to live poor for various reasons, but just like only some are mentally challenged, only some choose to be homeless.Deadmonkiefart wrote:

I lol'd.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

the homeless guy by our school is great
he goes around collecting cans and stuff, and if you're short money at one of the food trucks, he'll give you some

Giving in is something that really pisses me off.
I agree with your rant btw.
