playing in a bar, luck running o.k. was up bout $160. when the machine I was at went COLD. blew through all $180. 00, I had on me. When on my last $2.00, with a $2.00 bet I hit this......

(machine gave me this hand, I didn't draw....)

I was playing "Multi-pay Poker", so I gots paid for the Royal, the St8 Flush, the St8 and the Flush.

$650.00 Mother Fucking Dollars on a $2 bet.

That's why I'll always use the two pocket method when I gamble (in the future, obviously).

You keep everything you're going to spend in your left pocket, and put all of your winnings in your right pocket. That way, you'll probably come out on top.

I know perfectly well what odds are and in a 'fair' game, you do get paid the odds. But obviously the casino (or where ever you were playing) wants to make a profit so the payouts are not going to equal the odds. But 325 to 1 is fucking ridiculously low payout for something so rare... Hence you "got royally fucked over".

In lotto you pick 6 balls from 44 (It's probably higher in the US), so the chance of winning is 1 in ~7 million. I think a ticket is around $2 (but as I've never bought any I could be wrong). So your winnings are equivalent to a jackpot in (the Australian) lotto worth about $7000.

Sound fair?
If so, well it's only your loss.
