Computers will not recognize my 2GB flash drive anymore when I put it in. Is it dead, and if so, is there any possible way I can recover the information on it?

You sure its not write protected? I'd try it on a different PC just to be sure and if its really dead i would take it to an expert to save your data. I think its salvageable.

What .Sup said.

Also try rebooting, on some motherboards, USB controllers might stop working after too long uptime or hibernation.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
