I've been wanting a 24" for a while now, however they're prohibitively expensive. With prices of smaller monitors now falling, it gave me the idea to double up my current display and get a second Samsung 206BW. I can get them for about 135 pounds. Should I do it? It would certainly be awesome, and since I'd be running the same res. for games I shouldn't get the framerate drop that I would were I to get a 24" (1920x1200).

Thoughts?

Wow, I was just about to post an identical thread!

I currently have a 19" and a 15" in a dual screen set-up, and was wondering if I should swap out the 15" with a 19" or swap both for a 24" samsung.

I love dualscreens, but I'd like to have identical screens, as it looks nicer. However, my screen (Dell 1905FP) isn't too great with a response time of 20ms and a contrast of 800:1, which makes a single 24" slightly more tempting.

It's such a dificult choice

Currently just a x1950. That'll be changed when NVidia/ATi release their next series of cards and I can decide what offers best value. It'll be a 8800GTS at the minimum though.

I just did a quick search on pricewatch.com for 24" WS monitors and saw a couple at a reasonable price.  Actually, just did a quick coversion from British pound to USD and it seems that they are cheaper there by about 80-90 USD.  Anyway, I think that would work as long as the refresh rate is ok.  Seems like a good setup to me...minus the video card of course.
