is either

A) Being paid by the Republicans to stay in the race

or

B) Is hoping to damage Obama so much that he'll lose in 08, then she can come back in 2012 and beat McCain

Either way, she's a bitch.

I think it's simpler than that.  I think she's just power hungry as hell.

On this note, I'd like to apologize for so many people in my state voting for Hillary. I'm just hoping my county goes for Barack, yet as an acquaintance of mine said today, "Fuck that cunt."

Well, Desert, as the votes come in, that margin of victory for Hillary just keeps shrinking.  It's still possible that Obama won your state.

He's kicking serious ass in my state.

BBC says she's winning in Indiana by 10% with 50% of votes counted.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

I'm noticing the more populous counties are going towards Obama, whereas the nearly all white, nothing to see but farm ones are headed her way, often in a 2:1 fashion. I noticed that her margin just shrank on CNN though. After all, Indiana is for once important in a primary and we'd better not blow it.

She can't win unless she completely sweeps with a near impossible margin. Won't happen.. I have a feeling she's going to bow out very soon.

Does that include bowing out from a possible vice-Presidency also?

I found this to lol-inducing as well as slightly maddening:
"I voted for her because I think McCain would beat her," said one, Lee Engledow, 57, an Army veteran and the owner of a lawn care company eating lunch at the Indianapolis deli/cafeteria Shapiro's. He said he likes Obama, but he thinks he'd cut the military, and doesn't think the troops should be pulled out of Iraq.

More Republicans who crossed over seem to have done so either for more straightforward reasons -- they prefer one of the Democrats to the other, at least as a second choice, and may be considering crossing over in the general election.

That was the case with Larry Lamanna, 60, a Lou Dobbs fan and former Romney supporter at another table who doesn't like John McCain's stance on immigration.

He said he was "thrilled" to hear Clinton say she'd "obliterate" Iran. "It's time someone spanked those people," he said.

He said he's keeping an open mind for November, but is leaning "60-40" to McCain.
Why the fuck court the votes of people for a PRIMARY that would never vote for you in a general election and then use that as an argument that you could win a general election?

The woman is not attached to reality.

Superdelegates.

She may drop out to save the party and take the runner up spot as VP, or she may stay in thinking she can win at the convention.

The superdelegates will not go against the party leader at the time. They have enough egg on their face as it is. The only possible scenario that could shake Obama's inevitable nomination is FL and MI. Obama is killing her even with the Superdelegate factor counted (It's nearly tied).

She'll make it a delegate fight. 'Til be ugly. Riots, etc.

I'm pretty sure Obama would actually win in Michigan.  The question is how he would do in Florida.

We'll have to see how it all plays out, but stealing a primary isn't a good way to win voter confidence.

That said, watching the Dems selfdestruct is rather amusing.

You do realize that every viable political analyst has pronounced her dead (right and left)? The media loves a show.

Either way, they've done a lot of damage to each other, McCain's not gonna have much left to do.

No actually the math has gotten a little better..lol. You could have at least been a little more modern and referenced the Gore fiasco. Primaries are much more predictable.. trends are easy to spot, as opposed to a one night do or die scenario.

If you want to see the Dems completely self destruct keep praying for that Clinton win though.

Can someone briefly enlighten me as to who or what these Superdelegates are, and the role they play?

I hear the word being bounded about but my lack of knowledge of American politics shows.

Super Delegates are Democratic party insiders, loyalist. They have a weighted vote. They were created to make sure that the people at the top of the "democratic" party retain control. Tom Dashle once said that they were put in place to make sure guys like Steven Colbert could never get the nomination. He was of course talking to Steven Colbert.

Ha, it's not gonna happen, I know, but the Rev. Wright fiasco may have sealed Obama's coffin for the general election.

Although, Obama is the only one not pushing the suspension of the gas tax, so he gets points with me for that.

Maybe a McCain/Obama ticket...

edit: The Gore fiasco didn't have such an iconic picture, but I considered it.

True, nowadays a web search for Al Gore returns images of him making out with polar bears.
